Note – I purchased all of the products listed in this post.
It’s all the rage right now: the Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette from Too Faced.
At least, it was all the rage, but with the launch of their Sweet Peach Palette the PB&J love appears to have died down a bit. Still, this palette is absolutely beautiful and totally worthy of a pick-up. With nine shades filled with warm tones and pops of color, it’s been my go-to palette since I picked it up two weeks ago.
One of my favorite things about the palette is its theme. Some might say it’s a little much, but if you’re going to name a palette “Peanut Butter and Jelly” you might as well go all out! I think the packaging is absolutely adorable and the shade names are fun. It has a strong scent, although it really doesn’t strike me as a peanut butter scent. (Which is fine, I love all their chocolate-scented products, but thought peanut butter might be a little much first thing in the morning.) It’s definitely not a bad scent, but I can’t place my finger on just what it is. It’s almost a cross between chocolate and something else.
Another reason I love the theme of this palette is that it’s perfect for younger people who are new to make-up. I’ve always thought these nine pan palettes from Too Faced would be perfect for a make-up beginner. They’re broken down into three different “looks” (that come with a handy little guide), but as you become more comfortable you can mix and match. The only problem with the nine pan palettes they already have is that you might not want to give them to a younger make-up beginner because of the shade names, which can be suggestive. With the cute playful packaging of the Peanut Butter & Jelly palette and the shade names to match, I’d have so much fun handing this to my niece if she were interested in playing with eye shadow.
HAVE YOU CHECKED OUT THE PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY PALETTE?
ps – it’s been too long since my last beauty post, which was all about two of my favorite skin care products!
