Happy Friday! At least, I hope it’s a happy Friday for everyone.
Happiness lesson this week: when I first sat down to write this post, it took me awhile to come up with #1 and once I did nothing else came to mind. It’s been a stressful week and I’ve had a lot of mind. So after racking my brain for things to write about, I started this post out with, “It’s been a stressful week and it took a long time to write this list.” But the thing about happy things is that once you start looking them, they became more apparent. This list doesn’t have anything big or grand, but sometimes it’s the little joys that get you through.
In honor of remembering the little things, I originally bumped #9 off the list when I remembered #10. Instead of bumping it off, I’m just going to make a list of 11 things this week.
1 // Making good progress on two big work projects.
2 // Lots of puppy cuddles.
3 // The first season of iZombie. Loved it!
4 // The first “5 years later” episode of Pretty Little Liars. Loved it, too!
5 // Received two nice cards at work this week.
6 // My mom telling me to smile. (I needed the reminder.)
7 // Peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. They’re delicious.
8 // Breaking out a darker nail color after wearing nudes for awhile.
9 // A night with no work and a foot spa. (And the last episode of iZombie.)
10 // A long weekend coming up.
11 // Awesome coworkers. They rock.
I hope you all had a wonderful week! I haven’t finished a book yet this year, so I’m hoping to accomplish that, among other things, this weekend.
WHAT MADE YOU HAPPY THIS WEEK?
Cookies made me happy this week too! I made a batch on Wednesday and they really helped me make it through my mid-week slump!
Enjoy the long weekend!
Definitely a lot to be happy about! I know how hard it can be finding the good when we are stressed out. You know I feel the same way! #7 sounds wonderful and a long weekend – enjoy it! Hugs xxx
Hey girl!
My momma reminds me to smile all the time – she says I’m too serious. Lol.
Often times I think I have nothing for these posts and then once I get the first or second, they start rolling and before I know it, I’m on a roll and have ten or more.
It’s been coooold this week and I, too, have been snuggling with the boys a lot!!
I hope you get some good quality time with Mina and some reading in this weekend 😉

What a fun list — especially, of course, puppy cuddles! Have fun your long weekend!
Peanut butter chocolate chip cookies sound fantastic! I’m heading home this weekend to see my parents and thinking I may need to make some cookies…allergy friendly for me, of course! 🙂
Sometimes it helps so much to focus on the good because it attracts more positivity 🙂 What a wonderful outlook you have… and I totally want those cookies now. Mmmm…
I love posts like this! It really reminds me to smile at the little things a little more often. Thanks for sharing.
Great list! You’re right about when looking for happy things, more just come to you. It’s the positive mind frame.
I can never get enough of #2 😉
Puppy cuddles are the best! I hope to get some of those in this weekend.
Love this idea for a post! This week has been more of a week that I’m happy my kids are finally feeling better and my husband had an accident yesterday that he is okay but that counts too right? 😉
Love seeing stuff like this! Always great to look at the little things that happen because they are often overlooked! Bad things easily add up, but the good should too!
I love the reminder to smile. I had that reminder today as I watched my kids play. I remembered I need to stop worrying about everything else and just smile like a child.

Good to see how small things can make us happy.
Peanut butter chocolate chip cookies sound good to me. 🙂
Have a lovely weekend! x
I love how you reflect on the things that make you happy! I think many of us often forget to do that. There really is a lot to be thankful for, even in the midst of hardship 🙂 Btw, your pup is adorable! We have a tri cavalier too and he is the sweetest thing in the world! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
It’s so nice to see how many things made you happy, it can so hard to find the bright side to a tough week but you did it!
iZombie is one of my favorite shows! It’s so much better than I ever expected!
I loved the new ‘5 Years Forward’ PPL episode too! Also, dark colors for the end of winter is perfect.

That sounds like quite a few things to be happy about. Focusing on what we are grateful for has such a positive impact!
Puppy cuddles are the awesome-est!!! I’ve never tried peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, but I’ve make chocolate peanut butter chip cookies.
I’m glad you tried this out and were able to find some things that made you happy!! A foot spa + awesome coworkers are definitely awesome!
