I was a bit absent from the blog last week, which wasn’t intentional but turned out to be so needed. I needed a bit of a break from… well, everything. And spring break provided the perfect opportunity! The week was both relaxing and stressful, but in the end it was good. I had the chance to take care of my introverted side, which has been feeling a bit overwhelmed lately.
The nice thing about taking a step back from the blog last week is that it gave me an opportunity to do some brainstorming about what I think of when I think of Dreams, etc. being the perfect place to pour myself into online and I think I was able to put a finger on exactly what I’d like this space to become. I think it’s already close to being there, but needs a little more work.
And this will be part of my goals for April.
1 // Flesh out my vision for Dreams, etc. This will involve doing some work on my About Me page and doing some “behind-the-scenes” type of stuff that I’ve been putting off for awhile. I’d also like to finalize the mission statement for my blog that has been half-formed in the back of my mind for all of 2016. It came to me late one night and I jotted it down in a note on my phone. It’s been sitting there ever since, but after my brainstorm session the missing pieces are starting to take shape.
2 // Continue to work on my novel. Because I love it and I’m excited to finish it.
3 // Work on a secret project. It’s not big or exciting, but it’s something I’ve attempted before and totally failed, so before I announce it to the world, I’d like to get through the first week or two. 🙂
WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR APRIL?
[Tweet “My goals for April are… #goalsetting #monthlygoals #goals #april2016”]
ps – check out my goals from March.
You’re writing a novel?! That’s fantastic! Go you!
I am! Thank you! 🙂
Best of luck with your goals for the month, friend! You can do it. 🙂
Thank you Mia! 🙂
I am trying to figure out how to change up my blog, too. Like I need to decide what I definitely want to regularly do there and how I can go forward and be better. I just need some solid time every day to work on it, and that’s my biggest obstacle right now.
Me too! The days go by so fast, it’s hard to stay on top of things! I finally added share buttons to the bottom of my posts today. I think I just need to take everything one small change at a time, but still. It’s hard to fit it all in!
Good luck with your April goals! My big one is to find balance with everything I want to accomplish and making sure it doesn’t cut into my family time too much.
That’s a good one! It’s hard to find a way to fit everything in and make sure it doesn’t cut into time with family and friends. Good luck with your April goals too!
ohh work on secret project sounds exciting!! My goals are mainly fitness related or social media related! I run a link up if your interested in joining that would be awesome. Good luck with your goals!
I don’t know if other people will think it’s as cool as I do, but I’m having fun with it. 🙂 Good luck with your goals this month!
A break is definitely a good and needed thing every once in a while. I’m planning on one after the end of the month. April is pretty busy for me, so I’ll need a little bit of May to rest. Sounds like you have a lot of writing planned, and I’m excited to hear about your secret project. Best of luck with your novel too.
I should schedule in blog breaks too. Yes! I love having lots of writing plans. Thank you! Good luck with your goals this month and have a wonderful break from things at the end of April. 🙂

I am! Thank you! 🙂
The fact that you are writing a novel and are really into it is amazing! I can’t get very far into a novel before abandoning it. Good for you! Your blog is great and I am sure any changes you make will just enhance all that is perfect about it!
It’s hard to keep going with them, but I’m really enjoying this one. 🙂 I’m sure I’ll have moments of struggling to get through, though.
Thank you Tara! I appreciate your kind words. 🙂
Secret project?! Ooooh I love a cliffhanger 🙂
I hope people like the idea as much as I do when I talk about it. 🙂

Writing a novel sounds so exciting! I’ve thought about it before, but only ended up with a short story haha. Best of luck!
Thank you Jovania! I’ve had that happen. But I’ve also had short story ideas turn into novels. 🙂
Secret project??! That sounds fun. I can never have secrets for myself because I always end up too excited and I tell someone. I hope you’re accomplishing all you wanted to this month.
