Hello, everyone! For the last A Day in Photos post of 2015 I decided to take pictures of my day on Monday.
And I think I picked the most uninteresting day to take photos this month. I thought it would be a good day to do so–it was the first day Christmas break, so I thought I’d be able to share some pictures of something other than my coffee cup on my desk. And then I spent the day writing a newsletter and brainstorming and planning for my other job and the blog. There are some errands and TV watching mixed in.
Even though it’s a boring day to look at, it was actually a really good day. I’m a dreamer and I spend a lot of time thinking about the future, so it’s always nice to put these thoughts down on paper and into actionable steps. I hope you enjoy this little peek into my brainstorming/planning process, which pretty much involves a notebook and a pen.
When I’m in a store and see a book that I want to look at later, I take a picture of it.
Did anyone else watch The Returned when it was on A&E earlier this year? I loved it, but it was canceled (story of my life… I love the unpopular shows). I think I heard that Netflix will bring it back for a second season, though? I need to find out if that’s true and I’m hoping it is because that ending!!
The mountains in the back are the perfect example of why you should just leave something alone, even if you think it’s bad. Fixing it doesn’t always fix it… sometimes it just makes it worse. Oh well, it was an experiment.
Love “day in the life” posts, so simple and yet so interesting to see what others spend their days doing!
Trust me, photos of my day would be very very dull. I could never do a post like this. Maybe I should make a point of having a more exciting life!
Monday’s are always my catch-up day and always my busiest day. I try not to schedule much so I can focus on work!
This is such a fun idea for a blog post– it’s fun to get a peek at someone else’s life (in a non-creepy way, of course). Anyhow, I do the same thing with books I see that I might want to buy later. There are way too many “to buy” book pictures on my phone.
I love that you take pics of books you want to read later because I do that, too!! I totally recognize the store you took it at, too 😉 And to do lists are my sanity most of the time. I currently have one started of things I need to buy, the dinner we’re cooking for Christmas Eve, and the breakfast we’re cooking Christmas morning.
My Monday was filled with wrapping gifts and cleaning the house 🙂 We have family coming in to town so I need to get ready!!!
I do the same thing with books! Or I’ll screenshot a book I want to read from a website. ?
Your Monday’s seem like fun. I love lists. I have so many post-it notes and note pads because of this. haha
One of my coworkers was talking about The Returned – she said it was being picked up again, I’m not sure if it was Hulu or Netflix, but she was also excited. 🙂
I like that idea of taking a picture of the book in the store – duh, I never thought of that! 🙂 I always end up forgetting the name of the book by the time I get home. Thanks for that tip. 😉
Merry Christmas!
I have to remember the “picture of books” thing. So many times I’ve wanted to look up a book and forgot the title by the time I got home.
And yes, apparently I too have penchant for unpopular shows 😉
Have a wonderful Holiday time 🙂
I can really appreciate posts that are visual like this one. It’s different and really enjoyable. Thank you for sharing <3
I love seeing a day documented in photos. Every day might not be super exciting, but it has some exciting bits anyways. I love how you take photos of books – I might try it, too.
This is such a nice and interesting blog post! I love it! This has inspired me to do the same on my blog. Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year :))
I’m still upset they only made one season of Freaks and Geeks!! WHY!?!?
