All Work and No Play

September 13, 2011August 25, 2015 Crystal // Dreams, etc. 1 comment

Another picture-less post! Let’s just say that my life has not been very interesting in the last week (which also explains my absence from the blog) and has revolved mainly around work and taking care of the cute little pooch. I didn’t have much time for writing or editing either. Oh, well. C’est la vie!

If you follow my blog, you’ll notice that I usually write my “What I’m Reading” feature on Monday’s and this post obviously isn’t it. After doing some thinking last week and over the weekend, I realized that I’d rather push the feature back later in the week so that instead of writing about why I’m going to read a book, I can write about what I thought about a book. You can expect to see the feature later in the week on Thursday or Friday. Most likely, it will pop up on Thursday. That’s my TV night.

In the meantime, I have written two book reviews over at Minnesota Mermaids. Go there to see a review of Forgive My Fins, by Tera Lynn Childs (one of the authors on the panel at MerCon) and Lost Voices, by Sarah Porter.

Also, my friend Tara just got her blog up and running. It’s sure to be a lot of fun, so go check her out over at A Tattle-Tale Sound. She’s an amazing non-fiction writer. I’m still thinking about the chapter from her thesis that she let me read… I can’t even remember how long ago. And, we’re collaborating on a fictional piece. Tara, I promise I’ll get the next part out to you soon!

Totally understand about needing to push back the what I'm reading feature… I'm feeling very behind on things myself lately!

And thank you so much for linking me! You're too kind. I'd love to exchange more writing in the future (aside from our fiction venture)!
