March. It’s the time of year that I start dreaming of warmer weather. Not hot weather–I don’t like summer. But spring? That sounds like bliss at this time of year. So this is when I start reaching for the items that give me an escape from the snow: pastel nail polish and beach reads. Here are the books that are on my shelf right now.
I have loved Mary Alice Monroe’s novels since I first read The Beach House when I was in high school. I’m behind on her new releases so this month I thought I’d start with Beach House Memories, the prequel to The Beach House, and The Summer Girls. An author who has been on my to-read list for awhile is Mary Kay Andrews, so I thought I’d start with Spring Fever.
In ebooks I have the books set in Nantucket group with Barefoot by Elin Hilderbrand and Summer House by Nancy Thayer.
What books do you like to read to escape the weather?
