It’s funny to write this post right now since I’ve mostly been make-up free since coming down with the plague. I finally put on a little bit of make-up toward the end of last week just to feel somewhat more like me. This was originally going to be a “makeup routine” post and I was going to go everything everything that I’ve been using, since I’ve reached for the same products recently. That post was long, boring, and filled with products that I’ve talked about quite a bit before, but there were three products that inspired that post, so I revamped this to share these three products with you! These are the products that I’ve been absolutely loving lately and they’re products that I definitely classify as “must-have’s.”
Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette
I’ve been switching back and forth between two palettes since the start of the year and when I think of what my favorite palettes are, these are the two that come to mind. This palette has been a fave of mine since I got it when it first came out! It’s the perfect mix of pinky tones and nice neutrals. When I think of my fave shadows in this palette I’ll list… all of them. And even though it looks like I’ve barely touched it, I use it all the time. Also, the chocolate scent? A nice little pick-me-up in the morning! However, it’s scented enough that if you don’t like scents, you might want to check it out before purchasing to see if it’ll be too much.
Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette
This is the other palette that I’ve been reaching for on the regular. As with the Chocolate Bon Bons Palette, it has a great mix of neutrals and peachy tones. I know there was some disappointment that it doesn’t have more peachy tones, but I love it because the peachy shades aren’t as complimentary for me as the pinky tones in the Bons Bons palette. I just like them! I will say the scent of this one isn’t my favorite. I almost returned it because of the scent, to be honest, but as I opened the palette more I started to get used to it and I don’t really smell it too much as I get ready in the morning. So, it’s not my fave, but it’s not as off-putting as I first anticipated. Again, if you’re unsure about scented makeup, I’d check it out before purchasing.

Sleek Solstice Palette
This is definitely a “YouTube Made Me Buy It.” I hate that phrase, but this is one I purchased because I saw it in a YouTube video and I fell in love. It was totally worth the purchase too! I mix Hemisphere and Equinox (the two next shades on the right, next to the empty brush slot) and a MAC make-up artist thought I was wearing Soft & Gentle, so if you’re looking for a Soft & Gentle dupe, this is it! I love this highlight mixture so much that I was doing All The Makeups pretty much every day just so that a highlight wouldn’t look out of place. (And I usually don’t wear a full face of makeup all day.)

Whew! So, that’s everything. Even when I put on a full face of make-up, it doesn’t actually take too long to apply all this, but I always feel ready for the day when I put it all on.
What are your must-have beauty items?
ps – check out my fave lip products from the end of last year–these are still the only products that I reach for these days.

The bon bons palette is my absolute favorite! It was my first real eyeshadow palette so I’m sticking with it!
It’s a beautiful one! I love it too. If I had to choose between the two in this post, I’d definitely choose bon bons over sweet peach. 🙂
I wish I knew more about makeup; I really do! I have no idea what I’m doing when I go to apply it (or even when I walk into a store like Sephora. HELLO, fish out of water!) Maybe one day you can do a makeup tutorial 😉 Also I’ve never heard of scented makeup before. Where the hell have I been? LOL
I’d really like to do a makeup tutorial sometime! I think about it quite a bit, but haven’t had the time to do it yet. That’s a good goal for my next long weekend from school. 🙂 Sephora is really overwhelming when you first go in. I have a few friends who are interested in going to Sephora, but are overwhelmed, so I always tell them I’ll go with them when they get started since I have an idea of what’s what now. 🙂
Haha, yes! Too Faced has a couple scented lines and my fave is the chocolate.
Well, now you have two pieces of content–a video makeup tutorial AND how to tackle Sephora and not feel too overwhelmed 🙂
Hope you’re having a great week, momma! XO
That sweet peach palette is right up my alley! I am all about the neutrals and peach is one of my favorite.
Yes! I used to use a lot more color, but now I’m all about the neutrals and those peach tones are so fun. 🙂
I am a total sucker for pallets with pinks and neutrals. I try to move away from that color combination sometimes, but I always find my way back to it and the other colors sit in my drawer unused!
Me too! They’re my faves and I know they work, so they’re easy and I love them. 🙂
Two faced is one of my favorite makeup brand, unfortunately MAC still tests on animals and I refuse to support the company. Maybe you can look for an alternative cruelty-free brand for the Sleek Solstice Palette. <3
