Hello, everyone! It’s time for a recap of April’s Glam Bag from ipsy. One product that was included totally made this bag worth it. I like some of the others, too, but it all comes down to this one product. You’ll be hearing about that product last, though. I’ve never been too organized in putting these posts together. I tend to look at the picture that I took and think, “I’ll write about this one now.” But today I had a light bulb moment. Why not talk about the products from least favorite to the one that I loved the most? So that’s what I’m going to do.
Jelly Lip Gloss from Mary Kay at Play. I put this on to try it out and took it off after about five minutes. The color is terrible for me, but that in itself wouldn’t bother me. Even though ipsy sends out some full size products, I don’t necessarily see this as a way to get make-up; it’s more of a way to try make-up to see what I’d like. So the color itself didn’t bother me because if I liked the product but didn’t like the color at least I’d know this is something that I’d like in a different color in the future. But I didn’t like the product at all. It was really sticky and didn’t change at all during the five minutes that I had it on. It also felt really thick and uncomfortable.
Microdermabrasion from Dr. Brandt. I’ll probably hold onto this bottle and try to use it up. I’m not a fan of trying out exfoliation products. There are a few brands that I know do the job and are gentle, so I don’t feel a need to try something new. This one was fine; I liked how soft my skin felt after I used it, but I wasn’t impressed enough to go out and look for it when/if I finish the sample.
Demeter Jasmine Perfume. I really like this perfume. I love the smell of jasmine, but as much as I love it I wondered if it would be too strong in the perfume. This was a very light scent, so it wasn’t an overpowering floral, but I’d catch the scent every once in awhile as I went about my day. I wore this on Easter and I thought it was the perfect scent.
Rainbow Honey Nail Polish. I liked this more than I thought I would. The color is a lot of fun and the glitter matches it very well. I will definitely be pulling this out throughout spring and summer.
Urban Decay’s 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eyeliner in Black Velvet. I have heard great things about this eyeliner so I was really excited to receive it this month. I think this is a half-size, but it’s definitely a decent-sized sample of the product. I haven’t tried to play around with this while applying it yet, mostly because I’ve been wearing this to work and that’s not the time that I want to try something new with a product, but this definitely makes applying eyeliner a breeze in the AM. I haven’t used it on the waterline, but it creates a great line for my upper lash line. I haven’t used a liquid liner since I received this.
Have you tried any of these products or is there a product you would like to try?
