Beauty Talk // ipsy Glam Bag { June 2014 }

There was only one thing in my ipsy Glam Bag that I really don’t have an interest in at all, so I’d say it’s a great bag. At first I thought I’d enjoy trying the Be a Bombshell Lash Out Mascara, as I have enjoyed all of the Be a Bombshell products that I’ve been sent, however as soon as I opened it up the smell turned me off. I don’t know if it smells bad to everyone, but it has such a strong smell that I won’t even try it out. This mascara joins the ranks of Rimmel mascaras as too smelly for me to use. The Dream Waves Spray by Marc Anthony probably ranks right up there with the Urban Decay eyeliner that they sent me in April in terms of excitement. I’ve heard about the Marc Anthony haircare products for awhile and have been interested in them, but I haven’t tried any of them out yet. This was really nice. It gave my hair a nice texture and is a product I’d reach for right after I wash my hair if I wanted to style it. I also love how the product smells. The Shimmer Eyeliner by Nicka K New York will definitely be put to use with some mermaid looks. It’s an absolutely beautiful shade of blue, but not an every day color for me. (Younger me would have loved wearing this whenever possible!) I haven’t tested it out in a look yet, but I am guessing that this will stay in place for awhile because you can still see faint lines on my hand from when I swatched it and I have scrubbed my hand to try and get it off. The Butter Gloss by NYX in Apple Strudel is going into the bag of lip products that I carry with me. I really like these Butter Glosses because they have good pigmentation, don’t dry out the lips and smell really good. They all have baked good themes. I was really excited to see the samples for the BB Cusion by Laneige. My friend tried this and raved about it because she loved it. I think she has since decided that it’s not as great as she originally thought for her. I liked the product when I tested it out, but I also didn’t wear it for long. It evens out my skin tone, but doesn’t completely cover the redness in my cheeks, so if I wanted fuller coverage I’d have to use it with a concealer.

Have you tried any of these products or is there a product you would like to try?
