this weekend. I wanted to look put together Monday morning, so I packed enough
make-up for a full look. It all fit into this Ursula make-up bag, which is part
of the new ELF Disney Villain’s line.
Here’s a peak at what I packed.
Face
Foundation in 1.0. This has been my go-to foundation lately. I think this
might be a tad too dark for me, but the Matchmaster foundations match your skin
tone once its applied so it always works.
Pressed Powder in 005 Silky Beige. This is my favorite powder of all time
and I’ve stopped buying other setting powders just because I love this one so
much and it’s cheap. Usually I buy it in Translucent but they didn’t have it
last time that I was in the store and this has worked just fine.
Concealer in 10 Light. I’ve talked about my love for this concealer before
and it’s the one that always goes with me when I travel.
I use this blush as a bronzer and I absolutely love it. A light dusting defines
my cheeks and adds a little color.
05 Luminoso. I don’t always wear blush, but when I do I find myself reaching
for Luminoso more often than not. I just like the color best.
I love wearing a highlighter and this one is super easy to apply and gives me
the look that I’m going for every time. This little sample size is perfect for
traveling.
Spray. This finishing spray is amazing. I always top my makeup off with
this and it lasts all day—as long as I don’t touch my face a lot throughout the
day, as I often do.
Eyes
Great and Powerful Theodora Palette. UD palettes are my favorite to travel
with because they feel very sturdy. In the past I have always traveled with the
Naked 2 palette but that one is has been well-loved and used so when I got this
one, it became my go-to travel palette. I can create a natural look but it also
has some greens thrown in for a little pop of color if I need it. It comes with
a dark eyeliner to line my upper lash line and it has a huge mirror, which is
perfect for applying make-up or for checking out my hair when I put it up if I
have another mirror to look in.
Painterly. This is a nice nude (for me) base for eye shadows that makes
them last all day without creasing.
Liners in 004 Taupe an 005 Nude. These are my go-to eye pencils. The nude
liner opens the eyes and covers up any redness in the waterline if you’re
tired, which makes you look more awake, and the taupe is perfect for creating
some definition along with the bottom lash line without going for something
dark like a brown or black.
Volume Express Mascara in Black Drama. This is my go-to mascara. I don’t
have to apply a lot but a little swipe helps my lashes keep some sort of curled
shape.
Mascara in 01 Black. This mascara has a tiny brush, which is made to touch
up the bottom lashes. It doesn’t smudge and is easy to apply.
Lips and Nails
Gloss in Glamour. I don’t know if this is sold individually. I bought it in
a limited edition gift set that included a magnetic nail polish last winter.
This is the perfect fall/winter shade and I love that it has a mirror on the
side so that you can see what you’re doing and that the applicator lights up so
that you can see what you’re doing..
travel in case I need to touch up and I always end up using it. I debated
whether or not I needed to bring it along for one night and I’m glad that I did
as I ended up with a major chip in my thumbnail Sunday night. Right now I’m wearing
Essie’s After School Boy Blazer. My
ring fingers are accented with Sonia
Kashuk’s Smoke and Mirrors. And, of course, I had to bring along my
favorite base and top coats, Sally
Hansen’s Maximum Growth and Insta-Dri.
Tools
often do) to cut down on the tools that I needed to bring. I know, I know. That
only cuts them down by one tool but every little bit helps!
Brush. I use this for powder.
Duo-Fiber Face Brush. This is perfect for contouring because it gives a
very light application.
Contour Brush. I use this for concealer.
all of the Real Techniques face brushes and they are my go-to ones, however
this MAC brush… I have no words for how much I love it. I use it for something
different each time I clean it because I love how it feels in the hand. It is
so comfortable to hold and use! Right now I’m using it for blush.
favorite eye shadow brushes come from MAC. There is no reason to look
elsewhere, in my opinion. I have tried other eye shadows brushes (Real
Techniques and Sigma) and I quickly returned to these.
It does the job and it’s only a buck!
carry in yours when you get away for a day or two?

October 3, 2013 at 2:08 pmLove the post. I love the new elf Disney Villains line–I got the Ursula and Cruella palettes, but my store wasn't selling the makeup bags. I definitely want either the Ursula or Cruella bag, so I'm going to keep my eye out. People mark up the price like CRAZY on eBay.
