I don’t think it comes as much of a surprise that I like make-up. I enjoy the process of applying it and creating different looks–or pulling out my tried and true favorites. I don’t wear make-up every day, because I like to give my skin a chance to breathe. And some days I just don’t feel like it. Sometimes it’s really hard to get out of bed in the morning and I feel a little sluggish and not entirely with it. When I have those days I don’t want to put on much make-up, but it’s often on those days that I also want a little something on my eyelids because it will help me feel like I’m a little more put together than I actually am.
On those days, I reach for some of these products. All it takes is a swipe across the eyelids, a quick blend to get rid of any harsh lines. Complete it with a swipe of mascara and, if I’m feeling up to it, a bit of eyeliner and I’m good to go.
{ 01 } Clinique Chubby Shadow Stick Tints for Eyes. I have always loved the idea of a crayon-like eyeshadow and these are the best that I’ve tried. They have a great color payoff and are incredibly easy to use. The only problem is that I have to wear an eye shadow base with these, otherwise I’ve noticed that the product disappears a lot faster than I’d like. With a base, they last all day. I have Lots o’ Latte and Ample Amber. So far, Amble Amber is my favorite.
{ 02 } Maybelline Color Tattoos. These are my favorite of the two products. These are also incredibly pigmented and, as a bonus, I don’t need to use an eye shadow base in order for them to stay all day. I also love how versatile these are. They can be used on their own, as a liner or as an eyeshadow base. (To be fair, I’ve also used the Chuby Shadow Tick Tints as an eye shadow base.) The colors above are Bad to the Bronze and Barely Branded. Bad to the Bronze is definitely my favorite of the two colors
What are your favorite lazy day make-up tips or do you just forgo make-up altogether?
Note: As always, I purchased the products listed in this post.
