When I wrote my Sunday Currently post I was pretty tired after a busy weekend, but I spent the afternoon getting caught up on Bloglovin’ and drafting blog posts while watching Lifetime movies. This is one of my favorite ways to unwind and relax, so it was a perfect end to the weekend. Sunday nights are also a pamper night for me. I only wash my hair a couple of times a week and Sunday is one of those days. While I wait for my hair to dry I like to exfoliate my face and throw on a face mask. Right now I’m using the Mask of Magnaminty from Lush and I love it. I’ve thought of trying a different one when I’m finished with this (which will be soon), but I’m not sure what to try. Do you have a favorite face mask right now?
Winter came on Wednesday with a decent amount of snowfall for April, but the day also had some highlights too. My friend Heather and I met up for our weekly mermaid power lunch and we got caught up on our creative endeavors. (Check out her blog. I love going through her posts!) I love having a chance to talk to other creatives about we’re working on; I find it to be so inspiring. In the afternoon my coworker and I ran to Dairy Queen to get some ice cream and I tried a blizzard in a waffle cone. Little One was sitting near the door, as she often is, when I got home and we played hide and seek for awhile in the evening, which eventually turned into her running her nightly laps.
Thursday morning was one of those mornings. I woke up late, dropped eyeliner as I applied it, and spilled tea on the carpet as I tried to get ready in a hurry. Oh, and there was a lot of snow on the ground. But the day picked up when I went back to MAC to check out a new line that was released today. I always have to check out their new collections.
I have always thought that I should read a book by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, so I picked up one of his books on my way into work this morning. Tonight I’ll be at church for the Good Friday worship service. This is my favorite worship service of the entire year.
I decided to track the word count of everything that I’m writing for a month. This includes novels and blog posts. I started last Friday, so after a full week of tracking word counts I have written 13,171 words total, 2,678 for blog posts and 10,493 for novels.
How was your week?
