Last week/weekend I went with a friend to Eagle River, WI, where her family has a cabin. Some of you may know that I’m a Wisconsin native. I was born in Central WI and lived there until I was nine, when I was cruelly ripped away to live in Minnesota. (I’ve since grown to love Minnesota as well, but if you talk to anyone who has heard me share my love for my home state, you’ll know that my loyalty for Wisconsin is strong!) I’ve never been up to the Northwoods of Wisconsin, though. My dad told me that I would love Eagle River and that it’s beautiful… and he was right!
I don’t have much to say about Eagle River, other than it was a break I needed, possibly more than I knew when I left. So here are some photos from our time “up north” “at the lake” (to throw in a little lingo from Minnesota and Wisconsin).

Looks beautiful and serene. Something about being in the wilderness that's rejuvenating and puts things (back) into perspective. Glad you enjoy your brief time away. 🙂
