eBooks vs. Physical Books

eBooks vs. Physical Books

I love the feel of a book in my hands and turning pages. I love glancing at how much is left to read. I love that a well-loved book shows the wear and tear of being read over and over again. I love seeing books lined up on a bookshelf; I love looking at all the beautiful spines and covers.

I love that eReaders are so lightweight. I love that hundreds of books can be stored and transported on one little device. I love that books can be purchased and downloaded immediately at home. I love that eBooks don’t take up any physical space at all.

I’ve never seen eBooks or physical books as one or the other. If the author is one of my favorites, there’s something special about the book or I love the cover, I’ll go for the physical book. But I also love the ease of an eReader; that I can bring hundreds of books with me on vacation instead of trying to find a place to store three or four physical books (which I have done). And I love that I don’t need to find space on bookshelves for the books that call my Kindle their home.

WHAT ABOUT YOU? DO YOU PREFER EBOOKS OR PHYSICAL BOOKS? OR DO YOU LOVE BOTH, TOO?

Leave your thoughts on eBooks or physical books in the comments or share it on Twitter or Instagram (be sure to tag me!) and I’ll share it with a link back to your blog or social media in a post later this week!

I love both! I believe I have 50% of my collection on my e-reader and 50% as books laying on my dresser 😉

On this day I was tired after a long week and my least favorite holiday. My bed was oh so comfortable. I forced myself to roll out of bed and journey to the dam. It was filled with people and I was pokey…taking my time to get there and even journeying down one of the other paths to avoid walking across the dam. (Which isn’t long.) I finally joined the crowd and walked across. And then came back, happy to have made my weekly journey. This is when the top layer of the water started to freeze.
