When I read that Erika from Chimerikal would be hosting a Gratitude Link-Up I was excited. Back in the early days of this blog I took time every Sunday to list things that I was thankful for the week before. It was the one of the first thankfulness challenges that I did after I discovered The Thank You Project blog. Since then, whenever I notice that I have a negative attitude or I’m stressed out I make sure that I take time each day to think about what I’m thankful for.
So here we are, on the first day of Erika’s Gratitude Link-Up and smack dab in the middle of a week that’s been a little stressful for me. It’s perfect timing!
Here are some of the things that I have been extra thankful for this week:
1. My mother, who is always there to listen if I need her (I took her up on that this week) and my father, who goes above and beyond for his family.
2. My puppy, who puts a smile on my face every day.
3. My friends. This week I have been especially grateful for my best friend Mary, who despite our different schedules is always up for a text and for getting together whenever we can fit it in, and who is celebrating her birthday this week. Happy birthday, Buttercup! And there is Heather, who inspires me and who is the best business partner I could have asked for. Our mermaid power lunches are always a pick-me-up!
4. Good books that I can lose myself in. Even Little One thought that the one in the picture above was good. Good as in tasty. (I’m also grateful that she pulled one of my books off the bookshelf and not one of the many library books that I have right now.)

Oh I love puppies and how they always put a smile on your face! I have a cat and it's just the best 🙂 And moms are awesome…Happy gratitude day, Crystal 🙂
I love that! Happy gratitude day! 🙂
They really do. I don't know what it is about animals but they make everything seem wonderful, even on the worst of days.
Beautiful. Animals have a way with making a bad day better, right?!
They really do!
Aw, your puppy is soo cute. Aren't pets the greatest when they just make you smile for no apparent reason
Thank you! I think she's pretty cute too. 🙂 And they really are. She always does that too. I can have the most tiring day but as soon as I see her I'm smiling.
I am also realy thankful for everything my parents have done for me. I know I wouldn't be where I am now if it weren't for them.
Same here!
Stopping over from the link up….lovely post! I'm really excited about this too. It is so important to remember all that we have to be grateful for! Especially pups! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Crystal — I am so glad that you are participating in this gratitude project! So glad!!! 🙂
And isn't Wednesday the perfect day for it? Right in the middle of the week, when you can't wait for the weekend? It's the perfect boost to get over hump day! 🙂
What wonderful things to be grateful for: people!!! We take them for granted so much (I know I do), but they really are the spice of life!
And a good book? Oh, those are the best!!! 🙂
