High Five for Friday

1) Little One got a hair cut and I’m not sure how I feel about it. She’s adorable, of course, but she doesn’t have that fluffy Cavalier look right now. I am looking forward to her hair growing out at least a little, but I am happy that she appears to be more comfortable in the heat. And that’s all that matters! (Also, she’s received a lot of compliments.)
2) My coworker planted a garden this year and she brought in some lettuce. Look at that gorgeous green! And it smells great too.
3) My writer’s group, the Glitter Glam Rainbow Bunny Death Pixies, met last night and we had a fantastic time! I made Chocolate Chip Chickpea Blondies and my favorite cookies, Brown Butter and Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookies. We all had writing updates and we even had pages to go over! It was an inspiring evening.
4) We’re almost halfway through July now and I am greatly enjoying the novel that I’m writing. While I yammered on about my inspiration and what I love about it last night I realized that I haven’t felt this excited about a writing project this year. It feels great!
5) My friend Laura Bradley Rede revealed the new covers for her books Darkride and Crossfire today. They are absolutely gorgeous! Go take a look!
What are the highlights from your week? Go link up with Lauren and share them with everyone!
