In Review // May 2015

May was quite the busy month! It started with the amazing writing retreat that I went on, found me in bed every day after work with a bad cold/allergies, and ended with lots of activity at work. Oh! And there were a few birthdays mixed in. (My sister and I both had a birthday–the same day, though we’re not twins–and a few friends had birthdays as well.) It was exhausting, but overall very good and I’m excited to see what June has in store!

// WATCHING

The final season of How I Met Your Mother. The last few seasons didn’t capture my attention that much, which is why it took this long for me to finally watch the final season. I absolutely love the last season though! I only have a few episodes left.

// READING

My favorite book without a doubt was Finding Jake by Bryan Reardon. I was asking questions the entire way through and I had trouble putting the book down. It was so well-done and I recommend checking it out. You can read my review here.

// LOVING

The Lash Sensation mascara from Maybelline. I heard from Coffee With Summer that it was a good dupe for one of my favorite high end mascaras so I decided to check it out. I absolutely love it!

// LISTENING

To The Buried Giant by Kazuo Ishiguro. It was an interesting read… well, listen in my case… and I’m excited to hear what everyone else has to say about it when the book club discussion post goes up on June 1st!

// DOING

Working a lot. But it’s been a lot of fun, even when it’s been hectic.

// LEARNING

How long it takes the copier to print certain amounts. The copier and I have been attached at the hip with all that’s been taking place at work, so I have learned how long it takes to print things.

// MOVING

Not as much as I’d like at all. I’d love to be doing some yoga and dancing, but hopefully now that the busy month is over I’ll be able to get back into a decent routine.
