Little One and I celebrated the 4th of July with my parents, my brother, a couple of his friends and their golden retriever at the cabin this weekend. Everyone arrived in the afternoon and we spent the rest of the day sitting around. Literally. They sat around the living room talking and I sat in the loft writing throughout the afternoon. At dinner, we sat around the table eating my dad’s jambalaya and my brown butter chocolate chip cookies with sea salt. And at night, instead of watching a fireworks display we sat around a campfire.
You see that adorable spot on Little One’s nose? My brother thought it was a fly or a tick.
Yeah, I don’t know what’s wrong with him either.
But I did let him know that I thought it was crazy that he thought it might be anything other than an adorable little spot on her nose.

July 9, 2013 at 10:56 pmHi there! What a cozy fourth 🙂
Also, my blog is being weird and I can't reply to any of my comments, but you stopped by and asked about the yogurt face mask! I do have a solution to it getting all messy and falling off…use greek yogurt! It's still a tad runny, but it is much, much better at staying put. If you do that I think you will find it works much better. Again, sorry this is awkwardly in a blog comment…sometimes I am technologically inept 😉 Love your photos!
