I loved the theme of this month’s ipsy Glam Bag: beauty schooled. It’s perfect for the back-to-school season that we’re in right now, especially since this year that phrase actually means something to me again. At first I thought that this month’s bag was a bit of a miss for me again, but now that I’m looking at the products, it was actually a decent bag and I’ll definitely get use out of most of the products. The Evulcano Body Lotion with Sicilian Lemons and Volcanic Minerals from Cali Cosmetics is a nice lotion. It feels good on the skin when I apply it and sinks into the skin quickly without leaving behind a residue. It also has a pleasant scent that isn’t overpowering. It’s also the perfect size to slip into my bag. The Sheer Glo by Manna Kadar Cosmetics is the type of product that I love to mix in with my foundation when I feel like my skin is looking a bit dull, which it is right now, so I will definitely get some use out of this. I was excited to see the Mongongo Lip Conditioner from Jersey Shore Suns because I need to replace the lip balm that I had in my hand bag. This is really moisturizing, so I will definitely be using this up. The product that I was most excited to try, although I haven’t used it yet, is Urban Decay’s Perversion mascara. I’m a big fan of Urban Decay so when I heard that they were coming out with this mascara, I knew that I wanted to try it. The Coastal Scents Shadow Palette Sample wasn’t too impressive at first, however that’s mostly due to the packaging. I don’t know how long I’ll hold onto this, because the packaging is quite flimsy. I love the colors, though, and when I swatched them the shadows were soft, silky and highly pigmented. I don’t know if I’d ever buy any Coastal Scents shadows, but after trying this chances are higher that I’d consider it.
