As you know, I have been working like crazy to edit my novel. (Well, I announced a few weeks ago that I was working on two and that I would have them done a week and a half ago, however I ended up doing so much to the main manuscript that I put the second on hold and it took me longer than I originally thought it would to work my way through the first. But moving on…)
So, I’ve been working like crazy to edit a manuscript and for the last week or so, that has involved coming home from work (where I sit at a computer all day) to sit at my computer all night and go over my novel. (Shh, don’t tell my eye doctor about all of this computer time.)
Part of my revision process turned into a massive rewrite of the last quarter of my novel. I finally finished the massive rewrite and reached the end of the manuscript during this round of revisions last night!
*cues Hallelujah chorus*
It’s time to party! Until, that is, I start to receive feedback from the people who are reading it for me and I have to go through revisions again. But let’s not think about that until people start returning my bleeding manuscripts.
Reaching the end of the manuscript in this round of revisions has not come without its battle wounds. All the sitting (sometimes in odd positions–sitting like a normal person with feet firmly planted on the ground and back pressed against the back of a chair or sofa is uncomfortable, don’t cha think?) took its toll and as I walked into work in the wee hours of the morning today, my shoulder made a pop. A loud pop. As in, it echoed down the hallway loud.
After some time of sitting in a chair like a normal person and trying not to look around too much, the tightness in my shoulder began to ease. I’m hoping that it will be gone tomorrow, but I definitely won’t wait too long before visiting the Miracle Worker (aka, the chiropractor) if the tightness persists.
Anyway, back to the good news. This round of revisions is done! Yay! *throws confetti*
This is awesome news Crystal!!!
Thank you!!
Woo hoo! Time to celebrate!
It's time to par-tay! 🙂
