When I was younger my dad had a tradition of taking me out for a birthday walk (when we lived in Wisconsin) or a birthday dinner (once we moved to Minnesota) around my birthday. We’d talk about the past year and the coming year and I think that’s one of the reasons I’m always contemplative during the month of my birthday.
May was a busy month! There were some stressful things, but also some really good things (like seeing Harry Connick Jr. … I still think back to that concert). Through it all I’ve done a lot of thinking, since my birthday is in May and that’s what I do.
I also spent May doing a lot of painting and I’m excited to keep going with what I’ve been working on.
You may have noticed that I didn’t stick to my usual schedule at the end of the month. The last few weeks have been pretty busy and I decided that if I’m writing posts on the fly I’d rather hold off and wait until I have time to devote to the posts. That might continue for the next week or so, but after that I think my schedule should go back to normal. And I’ll have some exciting things to write about! Here’s a sneak peak.
Yes, those are mountains, because the mountains are calling.
And speaking of… if the mountains are calling you too, check out my latest video.
