I’m a night owl, but in recent years I’ve learned to love mornings as
well, so I thought it would be fun to dedicate an entire week to them!
It’s fitting that all of my posts were geared towards good thing about
mornings during a week when mornings when a complete struggle for me. I
haven’t perfected the art of getting up early yet!
(Sorry this post is up a day late. Saturday turned out to be busier than I expected and I wasn’t able to finish up the post.)
On Monday I talked about why I began to embrace mornings hard.
But the consensus among readers is that mornings are hard. (I totally agree!) Chelsea, Aimee, Mia, and Erin all said that mornings are a struggle, though some have tried/are trying to embrace mornings.
Lemon Freckles said that she became a morning person when she had to wake up earlier for work, but still stays up late. I’m the same way!
Lindsay
said that while she doesn’t love mornings she also doesn’t hate them,
because there are some nice things about waking up earlier.
Erica‘s a night owl, but it’s not by choice.
Charlotte loves going for runs in earlier in the morning, but other than that, evenings are her favorite time of day.
Tuesday
was my weekday morning routine, along with thoughts about how my
mornings became a little easier once I established a routine.
Lindsay agreed with Little One that days should begin with tummy rubs. Little One would love her!
Elizabeth
got me off the hook for trying to drink hot lemon water in the morning.
She’s read that it’s recommended to drink lukewarm water instead, so
she’s working on drinking lukewarm or room temperature water in the
morning.
Erica likes the idea of listening to the Bible with YouVersion first thing in the morning.
Charlotte said that she drinks hot lemon water first thing in the morning and assured me that I’ll get used to it. I keep telling myself that persistence is key, I’m just not persistent. I need to work on that. 🙂
5 WAYS TO MAKE MORNINGS EASIER
On Wednesday I shared my top five tips for making mornings a little bit easier.
Chelsea said that having the coffee pot ready to brew and turning on a light right away help her get going in the morning.
Erica thought she should start setting her alarm a little bit earlier each day to get used to waking up earlier.
Charlotte loves the snooze button and might start setting her alarm for the time that she needs to be up, instead of a little earlier.
Krysten always has things ready to go the night before.
I
found that waking up earlier was easy once I fell in love with weekend
mornings, so I shared my weekend morning routine on Thursday.
Lindsay sprints out of bed for her coffee on weekends, and she likes to cuddle with her pups too!
Mia gets up and goes right to the gym in the morning on the weekend. That’s dedication!
10 THINGS TO LOVE ABOUT MORNING
On Friday I shared some of the things I love about mornings… and yes, there are actually wonderful things about mornings!
Lindsay loves the stillness and quietness of mornings… and, of course, the tummy rubs with our pups! 🙂
Chelsea loves a cup of coffee in the morning.
Sarah loves a cup of tea.
