Happy Friday! I hope you all had a wonderful week. Since I haven’t reflected on the week for awhile, I thought it was about time I throw that into the mix of blog posts again. Here’s a peek at my week and what made me happy.
1 // Snapchat.
Snapchat has been so much fun this week that I’ve pretty much had my phone by my side at all times. That might not be a good thing, but hey. Strike while the iron–or Snapchat–is hot. I recently introduced one of my sister’s to Snapchat, so we’ve been snapping. One of my coworkers has started using it more. And some of the artists I follow who hadn’t been painting for awhile started painting again this week.
2 // A weekend with Tino.
This should probably be the first thing on the list, but I’m writing these in the order that they come to mind and I was on Snapchat right before I started this post. Little One and I spent the weekend puppy-sitting for my new canine nephew Tino and I had a lot of fun with the crazy pup. Little One wasn’t as thrilled about the week, so she wrote her first post in months to tell you all about it.
3 // Work.
Yes, you read that right. Work has been fun this week. As some of you probably know, I have two jobs. In addition to my full-time job I have a very part-time job with a church (all of the staff are intentionally bi-vocational) and this job usually taps into my creative side. This week I started a project that I’ve been planning for about a month. I did a lot of prep work this week and I’m really excited to start putting everything together next week!
4 // To-Do Lists.
This might be another strange thing to put on the list, but I haven’t prepared a to-do list (other than my weekly lists for work) since sometime in May and to-do lists are a big part of staying organized and productive for me. I put together a massive to-do list for the weekend and next week and I’m so excited to get started on it!
5 // A New Audiobook.
I recently downloaded a bunch of classics on audiobook and I’m listening to Jane Eyre right now. There are times when I’m not in the mood for it, but most of the time I am and it’s been fun to listen to on my way to work and as I get ready in the morning.
Oh I know! I’m addicted to Snapchat as well!!!! I thought it was just annoying at first but now I LOVE it.
I felt the same way! When I first started using Snapchat I was never on because I thought it was so annoying, but once I started to use it more I fell in love with it!
What a great week! Isn’t Snapchat the best? Tino is so cute!
It is! Thanks! He’s a sweet pup too. 🙂
Sounds like it was a really good week! That pupper is adorable!! Did he harass Mina or behaved for the most part?
Have a nice long weekend Crystal. Xo
He wanted to play and they had different ideas of what was fun. She let him know what behaviors she wasn’t going to stand for and put him in his place a few times. But she did run to her travel crate to get away from him. The good thing is, now she likes her travel crate! My sister and her family also have a foster dog who’s about his size so they’re always jumping on each other and playing. It was a bit much for Mina, since she’s smaller than him, but I think once he calms down a little/learns how to play a little differently they could be good friends.
OH, my goodness…. LOOK AT THAT CUTE PUPPYDOGFACE!!! Smoosh 🙂
I’ve actually never listened to an audiobook–I feel as though I’d get so distracted, but it might be a wonderful way to wind down at the end of a long day. I imagine the voice of the reader would have everything to do with my enjoyment.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend, my sweet! PS: I have TOTALLY fallen off the Snapchat bandwagon; I will have to up my game next week 🙂
He’s so adorable! I love him. 🙂
I love listening to audiobooks at the end of the day. Sometimes I’ll set the sleep timer for 8 minutes and I’m usually falling asleep right as I’m reaching the end of that time. 🙂 When I notice that I’m getting too distracted to listen to a book, I turn it off and just put on some music. And I’ve also found that there are certain types of books that hold my attention better than others. YA and mysteries are hard for me to tune out of while listening. I also enjoy listening to classics, because there are a lot of actors that narrate classics. (Right now I’m listening to Jane Eyre, narrated by Thandie Newton.)
I’ve been so addicted to Snapchat. I should probably try to fall off the bandwagon for a little bit. 🙂
You’ve definitely had a more productive week than me! Here’s to hoping I can catch up in the weekend! I won’t lie though, Snapchat has just become second to breathing to me. I did however manage to write something after putting it off for weeks, so that was my greatest highlight!

That’s awesome! Sometimes we need those weeks that we don’t get as much done. Finishing that task must have felt great, though! And I totally feel the same way about Snapchat. I’m always opening the app to see what’s happening. 🙂
I love audiobooks! I’m so weird because I almost exclusive listen to them instead of music when I’m in the car…even if it’s only for 10 minutes!
Me too! I often listen to them when I’m on the go too. 🙂
I love you list! I find myself addicted to snapchat and seeing all the fun snapchats from people I follow. Tino looks adorable btw!
Thank you! Me too! I love seeing what people are doing during their day. Thanks! He’s a sweet pup! Very energetic, but sweet. 🙂
This week went by so fast! I was out of town on business and I think the highlight was just making it through to Friday! Have a great weekend!
Sometimes making it to Friday is one of the best parts of the week! 🙂
