Last week’s change in the posting schedule did not go as planned! I had some long workdays and an unexpected event arose so I decided to push back my extra post to Saturday. However, Saturday was filled with meeting a newly engaged friend for lunch and an afternoon with my niece and nephew after. They spent the night so we read a few books, had a pizza party and watched The Little Mermaid. My poor nephew. When I spread our choices out on the table, he looked through them and asked, “Why are these all princess movies?” I think I need to update my children’s movie collection to include some “boy films” as well. Any suggestions?
Anyway, I’ll start this week off with my weekly Project 365 photo post.
“Currently Watching” (11/6)
Sunday night my friend Sarah came over for a TV night. We watched The Secret Circle and Pretty Little Liars. Pictured is Caleb, one of the best parts of PLL.
“In Dreamland” (11/7)
The Dog, deep in sleep. When she enters dreamland her breathing changes. Sometimes she yips, often she moves. Watching her go through different sleep cycles prompted me to read about the sleep cycles of dogs one night. Did you know that dogs go through the same sleep cycles as humans? And that when dogs are deep in REM, you should not try to wake them? They might bite.
“Wet Nose” (11/8)
When I pull out my camera she just gives me this look that says, “Again? Okay, let’s get on with this.”
“Currently Reading” (11/9)
Now I am all caught up for the newest Pretty Little Liars book, due out in December.
“Unexpected Happenings” (11/10)
The unexpected event in my week was a trip to the hospital for someone that I’m close to. Everything is fine and the visit was entirely precautionary! But, it did change the course of a few days. While I knew that everything was fine, after hearing the news I rushed to the hospital when I finished a 12 hour day of work. I’m one of those who likes to see for myself that everything is fine.
“Backwards” (11/11)
A few of us ate lunch at the hospital right before the discharge. I don’t think anyone noticed that this little guy’s shoes were on backwards!
“Unplanned” (11/12)
After a night of picture taking, this was my favorite, and it’s the one I took when I knew The Dog was behind me and I threw my camera over my shoulder to snap a picture.
My mom and I are currently rewatching the Harry Potter movies, so I’m going to sign off and focus my attention on that. I hope you all are well and I’m looking forward to getting back in touch with your blogs this week!
That last pic is especially adorable.
Boy movies for kids: naturally I have to suggest How to Train Your Dragon. 🙂
The nose photo is amazing!! For some reason I'm really into dogs' noses…. Ha, I imagine this sounds really quirky! lol But yep, I always try to take a good pic of my dog's nose, too bad my camera won't really let me! lol
Crystal, I also wanted to thank you so so so much for your amazing comments on my guest posts at ThankfulFor! Somehow the blog won't let me reply comments on there, so I'll reply you here f you don't mind! I was so glad to know you used the "thank you" technique as a "fight back" too 🙂 In my experience I've noticed those who get more annoyed tend to make things worse only for themselves, really. Sometimes they walk away still swearing to themselves taking this attitude with them as they leave. So yes, there's nothing more you can do about it, but at least you get freed of your frustration and send the negativity back to them. Thank yous can be liberating 🙂 More often that now I would then remember these kind of encounters with a smile instead of frustration, as these rude people would seem almost humorous in their grumpiness!..
