A Quick (Or Not So Quick) Hello

A Quick (Or Not So Quick) Hello

I can’t believe that it is almost halfway through March, already! The sun is shining later into the evening. The snow has melted. It feels and smells like spring. (Of course, this being Minnesota, the weather could change in an instant. Time will tell.)

And, once again, it has taken me FOREVER to post something. I swear, I will get better! I do have things I want to post about… like the wonderful imagination that children have and The Hunger Games, which I finally got around to reading in February. I need to find a way to start updating you all on my Project 365. Early on, it started weighing on me as a task that I wasn’t overly thrilled about anymore, but then I started taking pictures with my phone (easier to carry around with me) and using prompts from Fat Mum Slim. I’m considering doing a few highlight posts, to get through the rather dull photos from December and January so that I can post all of the pictures using the prompts from February and March. It might help me get caught up faster so that I can start posting weekly Project 365 posts again.

What else has been happening with me? To be honest, not a whole lot. I’ve been working, of course, and writing. I decided that it’s finally time to whip this manuscript into shape so that I can try sending it out into the world. I’ve been working on that and am hoping to have it in decent shape sometime in the near future.

The only other thing worthy of reporting is that one day at the end of the February I went into a salon with my hair looking like this:

and came out with my hair looking like this:

The first photo was lightened somewhat so that you could see more than just a dark circle, but my hair was basically one shade lighter than black. It took five hours–I’m not kidding–but after having dark hair for years (and years and years) it’s nice to have something lighter and different.

Check back again within a few days. I plan on sharing a little something green in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.

Thank you! I don't mind a random visitor at all! The Hunger Games are definitely worth checking out, if you're interested. They're quick reads, too.
