Note – I purchased all of the products listed in this post.
It’s been awhile since I shared my go-to makeup look, so when I realized I’ve been reaching for the same eyeshadow palette for over a month, I thought it was time to do so! These products have been quick and easy during a busy period.
EYES
For eyeshadow I’ve been using the Too Faced Natural Eye palette. I love Too Faced eye shadows, but I don’t always talk about them because the names can be a little awkward. This month I’ve been switching up the shadows that I’ve used in the palette, but when I didn’t have time to think about it I used Honey Pot on the lid and Push-Up in the crease. I’ve also combined Silk Teddy, Velvet Revolver and Push-Up. Like I said, awkward names, but I love these shadows! They are highly pigmented and blend easily. It’s an easy palette to use and it’s small and portable! I’ve been topping it off with the Urban Decay eye liner duo that was put together to fit the Naked Basics palette. Venus is a nice highlighting shade and Crave is perfect for lining the eyes without being too heavy. I love it for the lower lash line, but lately I have wanted something a little darker for the upper lash line. This is easy, though, and I haven’t bothered to add another eyeliner to my makeup routine. For mascara I’ve been using the Lash Sensational from Maybelline. While it’s not quite as good as my favorite high end, it comes really, really close and you can’t beat the price!
FACE
When I was running out of foundation I decided to try the Infallible Pro-Matte foundation from L’oreal. I’ve heard great reviews and I’m always on the lookout for a drugstore foundation that rivals one of my favorite high end foundations. This one is good. It has decent coverage and I can use it with both a brush and my hands. But sometimes it doesn’t feel quite as comfortable as my favorites. I kept what was left of my current high end foundation of choice for days when I didn’t want to worry about foundation and I just purchased a new one. I will use up the Infallible, though, because it is a good foundation and one to check out. I have to use a primer with the foundation, so I’ve been using the Master Prime by Maybelline. I don’t like it as much as my favorite primer, but it’s cheap and does the job well, so I will likely repurchase! The blush I’ve been wearing is the Be Matte Blush by City Color in Fresh Melon. I received this in an ipsy glam bag last year and haven’t worn it much, although I’m not sure why because I love the color! I apply this with a duo-fiber brush and then blend it out again with a fluffy powder brush, because it is highly pigmented!
