Hello my lovely readers! How was your Halloween weekend? Did you go to any parties? Dress up in any costumes? Eat way too much chocolate? I did all of the above, except for the latter. There was no candy in my house as I was at work during Trick or Treating hours and we didn’t have much candy at the party.
My friend Erin and I threw our Halloween party and had a blast. We managed to scare guests and elicit screams, which of course means that the party was a success! I have a few photos and stories to share from the party but those will have to come later. For now, I’d like to make two quick announcements.
1) National Novel Writing Month has started and I am once again a participant. I am expecting to be much more successful this time and actually complete the project! For one thing, I’d love to say that I’ve successfully completed NaNoWriMo. For another, half off the price of Scrivener is on the line. I recently used a trial version of the program and fell in love so a discount would be fantastic!
2) I have also decided to take on Project 365 and take a picture a day for an entire year. I’ve done this twice before. The first year I was not successful. At all. The second time I was, however towards the end it became harder and harder to pick up my camera. Because of this, I’ve decided to do things a little differently. I thought about giving myself prompts for each day of the year but I’d like a little more flexibility with the project. I do think prompts would be helpful, though, so I am currently trying to compile a list of 104 or 156 prompts so that I will have prompts for two or three days of the week. Currently, I have 52. If you have any suggestions, leave me a comment! I will compile a list of prompts that I already have at the end of this post.
Secondly, I considered waiting until January 1st to begin the project but I decided against this for a few reasons. One is that I’d love to have the dog be part of this project and she leaves at the end of the year. Another reason is that the holiday season that is fast approaching is one of my favorite times of the year! The last time I took on this challenge, it was so hard to start at the beginning of the year because I was constantly thinking, “I can’t wait for the holidays!” So I’m starting around the holidays this time, that way I’m not anxious for my project to end.
Once a week I will be posting photos so be on the lookout for photo posts!

I’ve been having friends give me prompts that they’ve come up with, as well as pulling some this list, this list or any list of prompts that they have come across. Feel free to link me to any lists you think I should take a look at! So far, I haven’t chosen any prompts for myself. I’d like to see if I can get prompts from others. It feels more like a challenge if I do.
I hope you all are doing well and I can’t wait to hear all about your Halloween celebrations!
