Hello, everyone! Happy Sunday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. My weekend was pretty boring, but it was also really great. It started with hanging out with my niece and nephew on Friday night, which wasn’t the boring part, of course! They came over to spend the night so we had pizza for dinner and then we watched My Babysitter’s a Vampire: the movie and the first episode of the TV show. I loved all of the Twilight spoofs throughout the movie!
My sister came over to pick them up on Saturday and we had a nice brunch. I spent the rest of the day working on blog stuff while watching New Girl and Revenge. Earlier this year I lost everything on my DVR, which included all of the TV shows that I had been saving. (I tend to save episodes for awhile and then watch them all at once.) So now I have some major catching up to do when the new seasons are released on Netflix.
After church this morning I stopped at Michaels to pick up some supplies for DIYs that I found. I think my niece and nephew will be over a lot more and I thought it would be fun to have some crafty things to do–especially with my niece. My nephew likes to build things with Legos and stuff like that, and my niece is into arts and crafts. And the rest of my day will probably be devoted to reading and finishing up the posts for this week on the blog.
And speaking of this week on the blog… I’m so excited because it will be my first theme week! I’ve been toying around with the idea of theme weeks for awhile and after talking to my good friend and fellow mermaid Heather I finally decided to completely redo the last half of my editorial calendar for this month to fit in a theme week. So you can expect to see a theme week once a month on the blog; whichever week it will be will depend on the rest of my posts for the month and if it needs to be centered around a certain date. The theme for September will be…
This week marks two years that I brought Little One home and we became canine and human besties, so it’s our dogiversary! (Well, I guess for Little One it would be her humaniversary.) So this week will be all about dogs! When I told my mom she said, “What else can you write about dogs?” But have no fear, dogs are one of my favorite topics so there is plenty of material out there for me to explore.
I hope you all have a lovely Sunday evening and I will see you again tomorrow for day one of dogiversary week!
