Thankfulness Photo Challenge

Thankfulness Photo Challenge
Last year in December I heard that throughout November some people had taken part in a month-long Thankfulness Photo Challenge by taking a picture each day of something that they were thankful for.  I loved the idea of celebrating Thanksgiving by reflecting on what you’re thankful for throughout the entire month.  So I tucked the idea away and decided that I would do the same thing this year.
I’m sure that you know where this is headed.  At the start of November I had completely forgotten about this plan!  But on Thursday it came back to me and I decided to start the project.  I took my first picture yesterday and will continue to take pictures of something that I am thankful for through December 8th.  I don’t know why I even waited an entire year to take on this challenge; anytime is a good time to reflect on your blessings and what you’re thankful for.  But I’m excited to take it on now!
And of course I’ll be sharing the pictures here with all of you!
(If you’re interested in the story behind the above photo, you can find that here.)

Crystal, how cool is that!! Can't believe you didn't tell me you were onto it :p

P.S. Btw, I'm now accepting guest posts for The 'Thank You' Project – thought it'd be good to share other personal stories besides only my own from time to time. I would be happy to feature you! Especially so since you're a terrific writer! Let me know if you'd like to be part of that 🙂

On this day I was tired after a long week and my least favorite holiday. My bed was oh so comfortable. I forced myself to roll out of bed and journey to the dam. It was filled with people and I was pokey…taking my time to get there and even journeying down one of the other paths to avoid walking across the dam. (Which isn’t long.) I finally joined the crowd and walked across. And then came back, happy to have made my weekly journey. This is when the top layer of the water started to freeze.
