The Sunday Currently #20

Hello, everyone! I hope you have had a fantastic weekend. My niece had her piano recital yesterday, which was a lot of fun. It was smaller than usual, which was nice, and some of the kids were really good, including my niece. It’s always delightful to hear those kids who have worked so hard play their pieces. Before the concert I spent the day going through my wardrobe. I cleaned out quite a few pieces that I haven’t worn in ages, as well as a few favorite pieces that are really showing signs of wear. It’s hard to get rid of them and I’m tempted to run over to the bin that I’ve been putting all of the clothes in so that I look through and see what can be given away and what should be thrown away and pull them out.

We have had the most beautiful day so far. It has been overcast and rainy, which if you know me, you know is my favorite type of day. Who needs sunshine? I want a bit of rain! And we have had more than a bit. I’ve been steering Little One towards the less muddy patches of lawn when we go outside and already have had to wipe off muddy paws. I haven’t spent too much time outside, because it is pretty chilly and the last thing that I want to do these days is bundle up in a coat, but I have enjoyed watching the rain fall while sipping a mug of coffee and eating cinnamon rolls.

READING nothing right now. Actually, that’s not entirely true. I have started a book but I’m not too far into it, so I won’t be talking about it yet. I really don’t feel like I’m reading anything, though, because I read half of the first chapter yesterday and half this morning.
WRITING a lot. I’ve been in the writing zone lately and have been racking up the word count on my novel… only it’s not always on the one that I’ve been working on all year. Inspiration struck for a different novel. I’m making my way through it pretty fast so I know that it will be a lot of work to revise. It’s basically a massive word dump right now. But I also love it, even with it’s many imperfections, so I am writing as the words come to me.
LISTENING to and watching season three of The Killing. This is a fascinating show.
THINKING about how to shrink my wardrobe after going through Unfancy, a blog about building a capsule wardrobe. It’s amazing how many tops I was holding onto that I never wore.
SMELLING wet dog. Not right this minute, but I have each time that I have taken Little One out today.
WISHING for a warmer week. And I wouldn’t mind more rain, although I don’t know if we really need more after today.
HOPING that Little One will stop barking soon. I’ve been working with her on barking too much and I was hoping that it would calm her down a little, but my best friend stopped by yesterday and she barked up a storm.
WEARING my jawbone Up again. I haven’t worn it for a weeks because I kept forgetting to charge it. I love having it on again. The first day that I wore it I met my goal of 10,000 steps by four in the afternoon.
LOVING my mom’s homemade bread. I’m going to learn how to make it this summer. Hold me to it!
WANTING something, I’m sure, but nothing comes to mind right now.
NEEDING to put to use the barre that my best friend brought over yesterday.
FEELING content.
CLICKING through Bloglovin’. I didn’t spend much time on the computer this weekend and now I’m a bit behind.
