Hello, everyone! It’s absolutely beautiful in Minnesota today. The sun is shining and it’s a little chilly out; perfect weather. The weekend has been a busy one. I took a walk to a gross ravine with my niece, nephew and the dogs yesterday in the morning. The kids wanted to see it and the dogs wanted to go for a walk. In the evening I went to see a community production of The Wizard of Oz musical with a few friends. We went to a nearby restaurant to grab a quick bite to eat after the play and stayed there until 12:30am, which felt really late to all of us. But it was a lot of fun to chat and catch up. I went to my dad’s church this morning–he’s a pastor–and afterward we stopped for lunch at a café that’s been open for a week. It’s located in a building that is both the perfect place for a café and the worst. It’s the cutest building that has the character that just screams café, however there is no parking lot and I think some of our cold, snowy winters hinder people from coming out once the snow starts to build up along the side of the street. The building has had one café after another, but I hope this one will last. The owner also has a little vintage shop next door and the whole place is really cute. The food was really fresh too. I’ll definitely be back. My niece and nephew are at a play with their friend right now so I thought I would take the opportunity of a quiet house to get some blogging done.
READING Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight for my summer reading challenge. I love this so far!
WRITING blog posts.
LISTENING to Of Poseidon by Anna Banks. Mermaid book!
THINKING that Little One is doing very well with her barking. I think we are starting to get it under control.
SMELLING the delicious green tea with mango that I’m drinking right now.
WISHING that we could skip over summer and have spring transition into fall. Those are my two favorite seasons because it’s not too hot and it’s not too cold, it’s just right. Hello, my name is Goldilocks. 🙂
HOPING that I fall asleep more quickly tonight. Even though it was late by time I went to bed, it took me awhile to fall asleep.
WEARING a make-up look that a friend requested that I write about on the blog.
LOVING the YouVersion Bible app. I heard about it from Lauren so I finally downloaded the app about a month ago. You can go through different reading plans, so right now I am reading the Bible chronologically. They tell you what you need to read for the day and you can also press play and have a narrator read it to you, which I’ve been doing a lot lately.
WANTING to be more prepared with lunches for the week. I ate out while at work way too much last week.
NEEDING to drink more water. I don’t think I’ve been drinking enough lately.
FEELING content. I really enjoy spending time with my niece and nephew. Every time they have a birthday I always think, “I really liked the last age!” but it’s fun to watch them grow up and see how they change.
CLICKING through Goodreads. I don’t really need any new books to read right now, but I always like to know what’s out there.
What’s going on in your world today?
