January is almost over and there are a few things that I have greatly enjoyed throughout the month. In no particular order…
Desperate Housewives
I’ve always known that Desperate Housewives was a drama-fest so it wasn’t high on my list of shows to watch. But I have loved Teri Hatcher since Lois & Clark and Jesse Metcalfe since Passions (talk about drama!) so I knew that I would most likely watch it at some point. Last year I started watching it slowly but I returned to the show when I had the flu and a headache took away the option of reading. I started watching the AMC show The Killing, which I also love, but once I started to have dreams about the show I put Desperate Housewives on again. When I started watching it I became hooked on the narration of the episodes and how the story lines progress. This is the most that I have ever “studied” a TV show; and as a lover of stories and TV, I have spent quite a bit of time analyzing the TV shows that I watch (especially my favorites) in the past.
Tangle Teezer
This brush has changed my life. That may sound a bit dramatic–and maybe it’s a bit of an exaggeration–but… not by much! I have long hair and it gets tangled easily. Even with brushing my hair at least twice a day, it was always a long and sometimes painful process. There were times that I thought about chopping my hair off simply because it would be so much easier to brush it. Enter the Tangle Teezer. After watching two rave reviews from beauty guru’s on YouTube, I found a lovely blue brush that spoke to the mermaid in me and I ordered it immediately. I can brush my hair much faster with this than I was able to with an ordinary brush and I love it so much that I already ordered more (in this bright orange) so that I can carry one with me and so that I have an extra in case I misplace one. If you have long hair that is easily tangled, I highly recommend that you take a look at this brush.
Zumba
I love to dance and it’s my favorite way to work out, even at home. But while I’ve enjoyed many DVD’s, I always get tired of the instructional portion of the DVD’s. All I want to do is dance! And with Zumba, that’s what you’re able to do. I bought one of the DVD sets because it’s going to be hard to get me out of the house for a workout when it’s freezing outside and I love that the DVD teaches the moves in a special segment so that the workouts are just dancing. Once the weather warms up, I might venture outside of the house and find a class.
I've always wanted to try Zumba but I think I would be the only guy there 🙂
I love Desperate Housewives, too! I jumped on the bandwagon looong after it reached it's peak, pretty much just in the last few seasons. But when you're able to watch episode after episode without breaks, it's definitely easy to get hooked 🙂 Drama and all!
