After a month of autumn not being able to make up its mind about whether or not it actually wanted to be here after we officially scratched “First day of Autumn!” off the calendar, it is finally cool, rainy and fall-like outside. Just as I like it! We’ve had brief, teasing glimpses but this time it looks like it’s here to stay. Maybe that means that my tomatoes will actually stop growing now.
Weekly Wishes #10

I’ve been a little quiet lately. It’s not that I don’t have much to say; I have a lot of things that I want to post about, I was just focused on the 30 Day Shred last week. It was Level 2 and for some reason that level was a killer for me. I focused all of my attention on deciding what time I was going to work out and how to work up the motivation and energy for it. Today was Day 22 and I officially started Level 3 yesterday. It’s difficult but much more enjoyable than Level 2. (Not that this program is enjoyable, but it’s enjoyable in comparison. I think the only reason I’m still going strong with the program is because I’m only a week away from being done with it and my coworker is doing it too. I can’t wait to start up Zumba again once this is over!)
Little One has also joined in with the workout by pouncing on me whenever the exercises are done on the floor. Plank moves are usually free from too much interaction because she just rolls over and hopes that I’ll give her a tummy rub, but when it comes to ab workouts I’ve had an extra weight whenever she has flung herself on top of me or I’ve had a sentinel ready to lick my face. Yesterday she actually downed a bowl of water when the workout was done; she was so tired from all of her activity.
I took a couple weeks off from Weekly Wishes because I had enough going on that it felt overwhelming, but I’m ready to get back into it now. I know that I’m a day late and i had planned to post this yesterday but I spent the evening doing a bunch of work around the house and still only tackled half of the tasks on my to-do list. Maybe I should consider pulling out the trusty “only schedule five manageable tasks each day” again?
1. Organize my tea and tea ware. It’s a little unruly right now.
2. Sketch out an idea for a Minnesota Mermaids design.
3. Work on a web project.
4. Read two books. I’m so behind on my yearly book reading goal!
5. Keep going strong with the 30 Day Shred.
What are you wishes for the week? Link up with Melyssa and share with everyone else!

That's the cutest thing I've ever heard! Knightley also loves to pounce on me when I'm doing workouts on the floor. Sometimes he actually has to spend a little time in his crate when I'm working out if he can't control himself 🙂
You are doing AWESOME on the workouts!
I just laughed when I watched her. Oh, puppy. I would put her in her crate but she's been spending some extra time crated during the day because I've been at work longer so I feel bad. Tonight I put her in her crate because I also have Wolf and it definitely made a difference right at the end. So this weekend she'll be in her crate during my workouts.
Thank you!! It's been tough but good and I'm excited to be done and move onto something else. 🙂
I'm interested in knowing what two books you're going to read! I really want to read mr. Pneumbra's 24-hour bookstore next!
Xo Jessika
I'm reading Glass by Ellen Hopkins. I'll definitely share at the end of the week which books I read. Half of the time when I say I want to read certain books I end up changing my mind by time I go to read them. I've never been good at planning the books that I'm going to read. 🙂
Good luck with your goals this week!
I've done the 30 Day Shred a couple of times (and a couple of times that I didn't manage to finish it) and I always felt that phase 2 was the hardest. Phase 3 probably has harder exercises in theory but I've always felt it was so much easier than the phase 2… Maybe it's also a thing of simply getting fitter during the Shred. Anyway, hang in there, only 8 days to go and you'll feel so accomplish once you've done the whole thing!
Also, your dog is adorable!
Thanks!
That's good to hear from someone else who has done the Shred. I was wondering if it's because you get fitter throughout the month. I was also wondering if it's because in the middle you're far enough in that you don't want to quit but you haven't really seen the light at the end of the tunnel yet and now with level 3 it's almost over. I think that mindset can make a huge difference sometimes. But it's good to hear that it's not just my coworker and I who feel that way!
And thanks! I think she is too. 🙂
Be sure to take a snap of your tea ware when they're organised! Would love to see them. Good luck with all your goals this week!
I will! That would be fun! And thanks!
