This weekend my coworker and I decided to do a smoothie cleanse. I don’t know if you can really consider it a “cleanse” as we only did it for two days, but basically on Saturday and Sunday we ate nothing but green smoothies… or drank, I guess. I had one smoothie that didn’t have greens, but it had carrots, so it was a pretty, vibrant orange. (I don’t have any pictures of that one. At that point I was over the smoothies-only thing.) In the end, I decided that I would definitely incorporate more green smoothies into my diet (currently I have one in the morning), but I would like to eat other things as well. When you tell me (or in this case, when I tell myself) that I can’t eat that piece of bread or that slice of cheese it makes me want it more. It’s that whole forbidden fruit thing I guess.

Also, Little One recently snuck up on a glass of green smoothie and dipped her spotted little nose into it before anyone noticed and now she is hooked. She attacked me after I finished drinking my first green smoothie of the weekend to try and clean out the jar and she stared me down while I was drinking green smoothies after that.
While drinking green smoothies, I spent my weekend writing and watching Reign. I had all of the episodes to date saved on my DVR and I sat down to watch the first episode thinking that I wouldn’t like it and I’d end up deleting the rest. Why I thought this, I don’t know. I love all types of shows and books like that, but for whatever reason I thought that this one wouldn’t entertain me as much as the others. I was wrong! I was incredibly sad when I reached the last episode that has aired. Does anyone else watch (and love) Reign?
It’s time for Weekly Wishes and it looks like it will be a busy week for me. But first, how did I do on
last week’s Weekly Wishes? 1) I wanted to get caught up on NaNoWriMo. I’m not 100% caught up yet (see: watching Reign and my answer to #2 as reasons why). But hey, we have one more week and I don’t work the last three days of the week so I can spend them clacking away at the keyboard. 2) I wanted to continue going strong with workouts while getting caught up on NaNo and this was definitely a success. I’ve been thinking about how much farther along I’d be on my NaNo goal if I wasn’t so insistent on keeping a workout schedule this month, but to be honest, my goal of working out trumps my goal of writing 50,000 words throughout the month because I don’t want to slack off on workouts and lose interest. If I make a decent dent in this novel (which I am) and continue to work out throughout the month, I will consider the month a success.
This week my Weekly Wishes are to:
1. Finish the NaNoWriMo strong.
2. Continue to work out, while working on NaNoWriMo.
3. Get some work done on a web project.
