Weekly Wishes #28

Little One got a bath yesterday. She wasn’t too thrilled with it, but now she’s nice and squeaky clean in time to go outside and splash through puddles from melting snow. I know, it’s hard to believe the snow is actually melting! But we are supposed to have some snow showers tomorrow.

It’s time for Weekly Wishes and it’s perfect timing because after a busy and stressful week last week in which I wasn’t as productive as I usually like to be, I’m ready to make up for it. I have a feeling that this week will be similar. I’m hoping it won’t be as bad, but since I am expecting a bit of a busier week I don’t want to schedule too much.

1. Read two books. I think they will be Her Dark Curiosity and one of my beach reads for the month.
2. Write 7,000 words. As part of my March directive
3. Get through two lessons in my hand-lettering class. But if the week is really busy I will be satisfied with one.
4. Work on a quick sketch for Minnesota Mermaids. I met with my business partner today and we have a plan for how we’d like to proceed.
5. Work on a DIY project. This is optional, just because I don’t know if I’ll be able to fit in it and because whenever I plan a DIY project it doesn’t exactly pan out. I’m thinking there’s room for this one to fail considering that I had a conversation with my mom last night that went a little something like this: Me: You have black string for sewing, right? Mom: Yes, I have thread.
