We had the perfect glimpse of fall weather. It was cool all weekend and we even had one of those perfect soggy days that I love. This morning I was freezing as I waited for the bus and I was freezing as I sat in front of my computer. It was perfect! I hope it will continue.
I got to spend some time with my niece and nephew this weekend and, as we like to do when she spends the night, I gave my niece a manicure. I don’t know why I pull out colors other than blue for her to choose from because I know what she’s going to go for.
It’s Monday, which means that it’s time for Weekly Wishes. My goals last week were to spend time with Little One, put no more than five things on my to-do list each day and to catch up on blogs. I didn’t get as caught up on the blogging world as I was hoping but I made progress and I was satisfied with what I accomplished. Little One and I spent quite a bit of time together… after she got over ignoring me. I think she was a little upset that I’ve ben so busy because she was definitely giving me a bit of a cold shoulder for a couple of days last week. So we spent some time together and I don’t think she’s mad at me anymore–for being busy, at least. I haven’t trained her to give me a shoulder massage yet (what do you think my chances are?) but I did give her that bath that I’ve been promising and let me tell you, I think that was one promise that she would have been perfectly fine with me not keeping. She was a tad on the pissed off side after her bath. But she’s squeaky clean and smells like tropical fruit.
This is where the little mishap occurred. I kinda, sorta flooded the kitchen while trying to give her a bath. You see, I’ve been asked not to stick her in the bathtub (which would be so much easier!) because of all of her hair, so I was filling a bin with water so that I could wash her in that and dump the water outside. Well, it just so happens that out of the stack of bins that I went to, I pulled the one bin with a hole in the corner. It also just so happens that the corner with the hole was on top of the counter as I filled it with water. And I didn’t realize it until water was everywhere! That was fun to clean up.
So that was my weekend. How was yours?
This week for Weekly Wishes:
1. Finish getting caught up on blogs.
2. Get to a scene that I am looking forward to writing in my WIP.
3. Send pages to my critique group. I’ve been planning to do this for weeks, I tell you. Weeks! It’s time to get it done.
What are your goals for the week? Link up with Melyssa over at The Nectar Collective and see what everyone else has to say.
Hi! Looks like you have some very productive goals for the week! I'm not very good with the writer lingo, but hopefully this will be a great week for finishing them!
Your pup is very cute! My dog is about 5 times her size, loves the water, but HATES baths. Needless to say, she got one today and I love the way she smells! Good luck this week!
