After making that last post I realized that it’s not the proper way to welcome to a new month so I decided to make a second post today.
Welcome, September! I’ve been looking forward to this month and am so excited for the end of Summer and the beginning of Fall. We’ve already had some colder days, which I have loved, but we returned to the heat today. Hopefully it won’t last long. At night, when I take the dog out, we can smell the bonfires that people are lighting. Some schools have started up and we could hear the marching band at a nearby high school tonight. I am eagerly awaiting weather that is perfect for hats and scarves and boots. I am looking forward to watching the leaves change color and the leaf piles we will be able to rake up when the leaves start to fall. What’s even more exciting is that this year I will be able to enjoy Fall without a mountain of homework to do!
The dog and I spent a lot of time outside today. I read and she wandered around the yard.
A Game of Thrones. I’m not too far into this, but I’ve loved what I’ve read so far. The writing is so beautiful and I am definitely intrigued in regards to the plot.
The Gargoyle. ♥
She Walks in Beauty. I am finishing this up and I still love the collection!
As we ended our time outside, I grabbed some basil for dinner. One thing I will miss about summer is the herb garden. I might have to start growing potted herbs inside during the winter.
It looks like such a lovely day indeed! I'd want to spend it outside too 🙂 And your dog is a cutie, I hope to see more pics of it from now on!
