What I’m Loving: March

Sometimes it takes me a little while to figure out what to include in these posts. It’s not because I haven’t been loving the products that I write about (because I do!), it’s just that they haven’t always jumped into mind immediately. But this month? This month it was easy to decide what to include. These items have been my go-to’s and I have been wearing them every chance I get.

My Go-To Make-Up Look. MAC’s All That Glitters on the lid with Woodwinked in the crease, followed by Maybelline’s Line Stiletto along the upper lash line and L’Oreal’s Butterfly Mascara. The eye shadows are easy neutrals to work with and if I’m short on time I reach for these. I love how pigmented they are and they last for a long time without a primer. I finally switched these out for other shadows last week so that I could play around with different shades for a specific look that I wanted to put together. Stay tuned for that, I expect to share that look very soon. I remember using the Line Stiletto liquid eye liner once before and I wasn’t sure if I was impressed, but after going through a couple that I really didn’t like, I decided to go back. I’ve been loving it this month; it’s affordable, pigmented and not too liquid-y. I was using (and loving) Cover Girl’s Flamed Out mascara but I noticed by the end of the workday that I had some fallout from it. I heard great things about the Butterfly Mascara and I decided to give it a try. I absolutely love how it makes my lashes look. Most of the time I don’t even have to use an eyelash curler, which I love because I’m not even sure how much I like them. I’ve never been convinced that they do anything for my stick-straight lashes. (Speaking of, if you know of an fantastic eyelash curler that you think lives up to the hype, let me know! I’m on the lookout.)

Necklaces. I go through phases with jewelry. Sometimes I’m all about the earrings, sometimes I’m all about the necklaces and other times I don’t remember to put anything on. This month I have been switching between these two constantly. The triangles are from JewelMint. I actually signed up for ShoeMint once to buy a pair of shoes and totally forgot that you buy credits each month unless you tell them not to. I didn’t notice for a few months so I had a few credits built up. I didn’t like the shoes that I bought, so instead I decided to put the credits toward jewelry and I’m glad I did because now I have a couple pieces that I absolutely love. When I haven’t been wearing the triangle necklace, I’ve been wearing the bars. This is from Markkit and I think this is my favorite of the two necklaces. It goes with everything.

Tanya Burr Lips and Nails. I’d love to try out the nail polish as there are a few shades that I like, but the bottles can’t be shipped from the UK to the US. I did try the lip gloss and I love it. I was so excited when I heard that she was releasing a line of make-up products. She’s one of my favorite YouTubers and I love seeing people work hard and fulfill their dreams. It’s so inspiring! I bought Afternoon Tea, Aurora and Let’s Travel the World. When purchasing these products it’s important to look at swatches as they sometimes look different on than they do in the tube. Let’s Travel the World isn’t quite as bold as it looks. It’s an absolutely beautiful shade and it might be my favorite of the three. Okay, let’s be honest, I love all three and every time I put one on I decide that it’s my favorite. Aurora is a beautiful pink that is perfect for spring and summer. At first I wasn’t sure if I’d like Afternoon Tea after I tried it on because it is a light color. I usually go for bolder lip colors so I wasn’t sure I’d really enjoy this one at all but I do. I’ve been reaching for these products on the weekends all month. They’re are comfortable to wear. I have found that if my lips are dry they highlight that fact, but all it takes a swipe of lip balm and the lip gloss applies smoothly. And can I talk about the scent of these glosses? These are probably tied with the chocolate-scented products from Too Faced as my favorite scent for make-up. They smell delicious!

What have you been loving this month?

Note: I purchased all of the products listed in this post.
