I started following Carolyn Hennesy on Twitter and have LOVED reading her tweets so much that I decided to read one of her books. I bought the first book in her Pandora series and will be cracking that open this week. She’s awesome on Twitter, so you should check her out. She often responds to her fans and, whenever her schedule allows, she posts a Daily Challenge for the next day (sometimes in both text and video format). Because of her, I’m excited to delve into this book. (But also, a book about a young Pandora accidentally opening a box given to her by Zeus and trying to clean up the mess? Sounds fantastic to me!)
Over the weekend I picked up a few collections from one of my favorite poets, Pablo Neruda, and I’m excited to read some of the poems I don’t already know. His words are so beautiful!
I have a busy work week ahead, but if I have some extra time I also plan to read Along for the Ride, by Sarah Dessen. I love Sarah Dessen’s books and have been eyeing this novel for quite some time.
What are you planning to read, this first full week of September?
